It was evident from our visit here in May 2023 that the 162nd Fighter Wing has recently received a number of F-16 aircraft from other units throughout the USA, notably from :-
93 FS (Homestead, FL) 119 FS (New Jersey ANG) 120 FS (Colorado ANG)
121 FS (DC ANG) 176 FS (Wisconsin ANG) 182 FS (Texas ANG)
In addition, a large number of based aircraft were noted in the Have Glass V dark grey paint scheme which is applied as a radar cross section reduction measure. It might therefore be concluded that the brightly coloured tails that 162nd F-16s have sported for many years, will eventually become a thing of the past.
