This celebration kicked off at NAS North Island in San Diego over the weekend of 10th-12th February 2011 & continued at many other venues across the whole of the USA throughout 2012. The photos that can be found in this special “one off” gallery, represent some of the fantastic paint schemes that were applied to numerous fixed & rotary wing examples as part of this year long celebration. Some other special squadron paint scheme jobs have been included for good measure.
The entire Rapcon team attended the February 2011 event at North Island, with most participants leaving the UK on Thursday 10th February & were back in the UK in time for Valentine’s Day on 14th February : thats a lotta miles in not so many days !
